In a resort that had one of the first ski tow lifts in Austria (built in 1937), you can now take 17 comfortable cable cars and lifts to access the 42 kilometres of slopes. Tauplitz also guarantees panoramic skiing fun off piste, from early December to Easter, thanks to the region's famous snow-sureness.
Tauplitz has deliberately left some areas unpisted. This means that in addition to the 42 kilometres of piste skiing, there are dozens of other "alternative" downhill routes in the beautiful winter landscape. Freeriding through the alpine landscape is popular with both locals and visitors alike.
To ensure that you have enough energy to enjoy these activities there is a large selection of ski huts, including the highest in Styria, and restaurants available.
