Lake Altausseer See, Lake Grundlsee, Lake Sommersbergsee, Lake Ödensee, Lake Salza Stausee and Lake Steirersee quicken the pulse of guests and locals alike, while offering ample opportunities to cool down and relax. It´s possible to comfortably circumnavigate a few of the lakes on foot or by bicycle, some are excellent for fishing of for taking tours on the "Plätte" boat or solar ship. The view of the mountains mirrored in the crystal clear water ist particularly thrilling - a heavenly motif for all photographers and videographers.

Lake Altausseer See
The lake is crystal clear. The water has a dark blue hue which is why the lake is also known as the "dark blue inkpot".
With an area of 5 km² Lake Grundlsee is the largest lake in Styria. It is also known as the "Styrian Sea". The only nudist beach in the Styrian Salzkammergut is near Gasthof Murbodenhüttl.
Lake Toplitzsee has always been a target of speculations. After the collapse of the Third Reich, this chapter was richer by an episode. According to reports from local people, dozens of crates have been sunk in the last days of the war in Toplitzsee.
The Ödensee is a natural lake in the Salzkammergut. It’s located at 776m in the municipality of Pichl-Kainisch, Styria, and has a maximum depth of about 19 m. It is a "Waldmoorsee" (forest moorland lake).

The swimming pool in Bad Mitterndorf is a real leisure experience for all the family. Young and old alike will be delighted by the sports pool, the adventure pool with a water-slide, the paddling pool for children, and the extensive grounds for sunbathing and recreation. It has been awarded the Styrian Seal of Quality for Swimming Pools.
Tauplitz Swimming Pool
The 100 m² swimming pool has an average temperature of 24°C, there's a 13m long slide for children, and a padding pool. All in all it’s fun for everyone.
