The Hotel am See has always been a domicile for all those who are looking for tranquility, individuality and authenticity in the midst of a region that may be called a masterpiece of creation.
Our house is located in the old district of Fischerndorf in one of the most beautiful places in Altaussee - directly on the picturesque lake and in a quiet location. Here ends the road and begins the paradisiacal promenade of the nature reserve around Lake Altaussee.
The hospitality of the house looks back on a long and great tradition: A charter documented around 1300 already shows it as a guesthouse. The Hotel am See is as individual as its guests in its solidity with the newly built hotel apartments and lakeside residences in modern elegance, the comfort two-bed and one-bed rooms and the classic suites, which are furnished with original furniture, from Biedermeier to Art Nouveau.
The hotel is surrounded by the beginning of the lake promenade as well as the beautiful, completely quiet park area directly on the lake shore with the hotel's own bathing beach as well as the guest garden directly on the lake.
In the hotel there is also a sauna with sanarium as well as a practice for physiotherapy and massages under the direction of Dipl. physiotherapist Judith Frischmuth.
