Recreation is found in the nature away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. In winter, the Ausseerland offers twoski areas and a spacious cross-country skiingarea.

The house at the Traun is a good starting point for walks and hikes. Directly in front of the house the Klaus Maria Brandauer promenade leads to Altaussee. A leisurely walk directly to the lake where you can take a boat ride on the first solar-powered ship in Austria.
